I’m Not a Teenager Anymore

I hope you all had a great three day weekend! 🙂

This weekend I realized how fast time flies–my teenage cousin is currently learning how to drive, and she’s looking at colleges. It’s hard to believe that she’s going to be a senior in high school this fall! Her sister is going into 9th grade. (I remember when they were babies…)

Hearing the oldest sister talking about high school and colleges makes me feel like I’m listening to my younger self. I wasn’t interested in going to college out of state because I was already set on community college. It wasn’t until I was 18 did I consider transferring to a school in California (UCLA, San Diego State or UCSD). I ultimately decided to stay home because I wasn’t ready to venture out yet.

But my cousin’s braver than me, apparently.

She went to look at seven schools in Oregon this past week, and likes two of them. She’s also thinking about USC and UCLA. Since I didn’t go to the latter, I’m gonna tell her to apply and if she gets in, I can live vicariously through her, haha!

Boy, high school seemed so long ago…

Are you amazed at how fast time flies?
