In Hawaii we don’t have an NFL football team, so the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors is the closest we can get to having one. And we love our team, even when they don’t do well. Tonight kicked off UH’s 2014 season, playing against the Washington Huskies. It was INSANELY close, with the Huskies winning 17-16…BUT, Hawaii could have won if the spotters for the Huskies were doing their job and saw their player run out of bounds during the last minute of the 4th quarter. Since nobody caught it, the clock continued to go down until it hit 0.
Even though I and probably everyone else was sad/frustrated about the outcome, it was a really close game. Maybe this will get fans down to Aloha Stadium to watch games this season. Hope so! (And I hope they win).
